Just alittle birthday fever still going on!
I think I took the word labor Day to seriously cause i have been so out of it and lazy! Have done alittle fall decorating, baked a cake and didn't have enough frosting! Now that is not good! I honestly no longer like long holiday weekends! No junking, no Michigan visits, just plain old boring weekend! What I can't wait is for Friday!! My best bud Diane and I are going to breakfast,Michael's and gonna twist her arm for some Borders! Keep sending comments and love hearing all your birthday memories! My favorite honestly was when I was 34 and Diane gave me tickets to see Kenny G! We had dinner and then the show and it was awesome. As a child I think I'm having a brain freeze cause I can't remember any specific one! Now that's bad!! Well maybe a good nights sleep and everyone here back to school and work will refresh my memories! Ta-ta, Love ya all, Lori

You find the coolest pictures! I can't remember any specific one either. I remember the special feeling having a birthday gave me. For one day I was the center of attention. Having 5 siblings I think is what made that a big deal. For one day the friends and family were there for me. Is that selfish? The most special birthdays were when my grandma was alive. We loved our Grandma and she would always come to celebrate her grandkids birthdays.

Sounds like a fun day will be had by you and Diane on Friday. Something to look forward to that's for sure.

Take care, Lori.

Hi Lori!!

Oh I love those vintage birthday cards!! So cool.

Can you send me your address too Lori?? Thank you :)

One of my best childhood birthdays was when my brother came home from the hospital ON my birthday. He and my mom had been in a very serious car accident and after a month of being in the hospital, he came home. It was wonderful to have everyone there. It was my 11th birthday. However, a few days later, her was put back in the hospital for another month. But was able to be at my birthday. I love him so much. We are very close. Okay, I am about to cry, lol!

Love ya so much Lori :) You are my boys' Indiana Auntie!

Just found your blog! LOVE it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE pink as well. You mentioned Burkholders in Nappanee - I just got back from visiting my family up there. Wanted to go to Burkholders Sunday, but since they were closed, I didn't get to. I agree - GREAT store. So, where are you located?

I sooo love those party invitations and birthday cards!! I was quite lazy yesterday too...no labour for this girl on Labour Day! lol Do you know, I don't ever recall having a birthday party when I was growing up?? I asked my mom if she had made me any and she said she must have but there are no pictures! Sheesh! I made parties for my boys every year and have tons of pictures from each party...I guess I was making up for not having any of my own! lol xoxo
